The ITI IR-480 is a mid-to-high resolution handheld thermal camera designed around an uncooled FPA VOx sensor operating across the 8–14 µm spectral band. Offering an upgraded IR resolution of 480x360 pixels and a thermal sensitivity of 30 mK, it displays high-contrast thermal detail on its 4.3-inch visible screen. Depending on the selected optics, its spatial resolution reaches 1.30 mrad with the standard 24° lens and scales down to 0.34 mrad using the optional 6° lens.

This model measures temperatures from -20°C to 150°C in its low range and 0°C to 410°C in its medium range, with optional configurations capable of measuring up to 2000°C. It includes versatile focus adjustments (manual, automatic, and electric), 1x to 8x digital zoom, and comprehensive analysis tools such as 10 spot points, 10 box areas, isotherms, and automatic temperature alarms. Weighing 1.23 kg with battery, the IP54-rated unit supports voice annotations up to 60 seconds, text notes, HDMI output, and dual-battery dock charging for extended operation.
